I can't remember the name of this movie!?

0

All I remember is the movie had a kit cat clock on a wall that scarred a little kid, but actually the electrictiy in the house had somehow become self aware and was controling things. There was also a scene that had a lot of melting electronic eqipment. I think this movie was made in the late 80's, but that is all I can remember. Any sugestions?

Pulse (1988)

starring (Joseph) Joey Lawrence, Cliff De Young, Roxanne Hart, Matthew Lawrence, Charles Tyner, Dennis Redfield, Robert Romanus, Tim Russ

IMDb synopsis:

An intelligent pulse of electricity is moving from house to house. It terrorizes the occupants by taking control of the appliances, either killing them or causing them to wreck the house in an effort to destroy it. Then it travels along the power lines to the next house, and the terror restarts. Having thus wrecked one household in a quiet neighbourhood, the pulse finds itself in the home of a boy's divorced father whom he is visiting. It gradually takes control of everything, badly injures the stepmother, and traps father and son, who must fight their way out.

The cat clock is in Matthew Lawrence's bedroom. When it starts sparking, he hurries to unplug it, hopefully, to stop the Pulse from spreading into his own home!

Here's one site where copies are available:

Also, you can watch it at Amazon for a fee.

Here are Parts 1-4, but I think the person oopsed near the beginning since Part 3 seems to indicate missing scenes:

You can see the cat clock at the 30-second mark:

Perhaps you can find it complete elsewhere. I would like to do that, too, as I've always enjoyed this movie.

Maximum Overdrive, perhaps?
