I was on Depo provera for 10 years. have been off for year and half and trying to get PG but joy. ?

0

Periods have been as regular as clock work for about 8 months now. Have been using ovulation kit and this shows i ovulate at same time each month. Is it going to take me having sex multiple times a day when i ovulate?

Ummm... if the kit says your ovulating... its probably not a problem with you. I would make sure your man doesn't have any problems.

I was on it for 3 years, and it took me 10 months to get pregnant after my last shot. I had to go on the pill for two months to force my periods to come back though. I would have your husband get checked out.

My tyre has a puncture and I need to get home by 3 o'clock....?

0

Would my colleague's eye patch make a good repair kit? He's left it on his desk after going to clean his glass eye.

The seal between the eyepatch material and the tyre won't be durable enough to get you home.

Try this:

a. Put the eyepatch on, find a sharp cutlass (try your company's stationery cupboard; if not, there's usually one in the pantry) and practise saying 'ARRRRRRR' loudly in the lift on the way down to the car park.

b. Wait for someone to get in their car, then hijack it.

c. Sticking a little 'skull & crossbones' flag on the top of your new vehicle is considered a bit of a fashion faux pas, so leave it out.

d. The next day, please wash, dry and return the eyepatch to your colleague. A true friend would wipe his eye clean with Windex, too.

What was the address? I might give you a lift.

"Tyre" is spelled wrong. If you need to get home take the bus.

Change it for the spare?! Most cars have the kit in them (jack etc) to do it, its not hard!

If its a car fit the spare usually located in the bottom of the boot, under the rear of the car or in the engine bay.

Vampire

Chill babe, have a mojito and calm down. Flutter your eyelashes and someone will volunteer

u need to get the spare put on and get the tire down to a reapair place and they should be able to repair it for u straight away costing between £30 and £40!

Eye patchs are not so good, I recommend using a lovely leather or maybe leopard skin thong for the purpose

It will make your tyre functional and SEXY, don't you think.

try a stick on period pad

Yep give it a go

If its a pushbike, then just wheelie all the way home.

Tera to puchca bangaya. (sali chute)

Have someone help you put the spare on and take tire to get repaired if possible.Or if you wish you could use fix a flat, but I suggest not using this because it is dangerous and eats up the inside of the tire over time

Nope won't work..

TireSlime is a better idea

Safe for all tires, unlike fix-a-flat

No! But , if you would have hit spell check... "Tire " would have been spelled right.......

Irregular periods and ovulation kits?

0

So my hubby and I have been ttc for a long time now (4 years). I was on clomid for about 6 months last year (miscarried very early on a year ago, 2nd month of clomid). Then I found out the OBGYN I had been seeing for years was getting out of the OB business and going to a different field. Anyhow, I haven't been seen by anyone since November. I have a history of endometriosis, ovarian cysts, irregular periods and dysplasia. My husband and I have both been checked though and told there is no reason that we can not conceive. Now, all that being said, when I was on clomid my periods were like clock work. For the first few months off clomid they were still regular. But now, I haven't had a period since April 7. I've taken HPT and they come back negative, btw. I am considering using an ovulation kit (predictor?). Will they work for me if I am irregular? Do you have a recommended brand? If it matters, I am 29, he is 31.

Thanks!

Hi - I got preg pretty quickly using ovulation kits.

Ovulation kits come in sets of 7 or for one month. If your periods are irregular, I'd suggest buying a month's worth. They're only about 12$ a box for (7 days) at Wal-Mart. I used both Answer and ClearBlue, and found that Answer worked better (for me at least).

They are used like pregnancy tests. Just pee on it first thing in the morning. When you get two pink lines, it means that you should ovulate within 24 to 48 hours. The tests detect a hormone that is released just prior to the egg releasing. If you want to be sure, keep testing after you get your first positive test (when the pink line is no longer present, you have ovulated). I kept testing, to be sure, and had intercourse everyday I had 2 pink lines.

If you and your husband have been screened for fertility, and have both passed, it may simply be a matter of timing.

Also, speak to your OB/GYN about your luteal phase (the period of time after you ovulate to the first day of your period). If it is less than 10 days, your body is not allowing an egg to implant properly before triggering a period. You should be some sort of hormone therapy to extend your luteal phase so you can carry to full term. (I'd ask your doc about that.)

I'm sorry that your doc is changing practices. Talk to other patients, even nurses and see who they recommend you visit next. Good luck and baby dust wishes to you and your hubby!

I would go ahead and use the OPKs... here is a great brand, http://www.babycreation.com

also, your thyroid tsh needs to be between 1 and 2, anything under 5 is 'normal' but it has to be between 1 and 2 to get pregnant and carry to term... even if your dr. told you your tsh was 'normal' i would insist on the number to be sure it is between 1 and 2.. (one in 5 woman have this problem and dont know it, me for one... when my tsh finally got between 1 and 2 my cycles went from 40-45 to 28 days every month.. your other symptoms are symptoms of thyroid issues too)

here is a great site: http://www.twoweekwait.com

good luck!!

I also had very irregular AF. I would skip 3-5 months at a time. I went to my ob/gyn and he put me on a provera regimen. I've been using it for two months and I now have a 28 day cycle. I take the provera CD 14-28. It works great!!! I used the OPK's when I was irregular and it can become exspensive when you testing every day for months. My best recommendation is for you to find a new OB doctor. You need for your cycle to be more regular.......more chances to concieve. An OPK doesnt guarantee a pregnancy. I once got a positive OPK and had sex, didnt get pregnant, and had to wait four months for another try. Not saying this will happen to you but you get the picture of how a regular cycle helps. As for the OPK brand, I use "answer" brand. It's a 20 count pack. I wish you luck sweetie!!!

Question about prescriptions while trying to conceive a baby?

0

My husband and I are excited about trying for our first and have timed my ovulation and even bought one of those 20 dollar ovulation starter kits (thought I told him I knew when I was most fertile because I am like clock work). I'm on Depakote (2000 mgs) and klonopin. I heard they can be harmful to a baby. However I need these medicines and they are prescribed to me via my doctor. Should I be worried or worry when it comes closer to my period and time to take a test

It may be a good idea to call your doctor and let them know you are trying to conceive. They will be able to tell you whether the meds are safe while ttc. You are never to stop taking medication without first consulting your physician.

My amp stops working could this be my wiring kit?

0

Ok so i was listening to music and my new amp stops working, i clocked the temp with my temp gun at 110 degrees F. I get no light rom my amp not even the red protection light could this be the wiring kit ? How can i test if it is my wiring kit thanks.

it could be that your amp is in a small space causing you amp to overheat or check to see if your amp has a internal fan that might be blown causing it to overheat and shut off. you also might want to check your battery and see if it is running low if so a capacitor might be a good idea.

Do you need heat spreaders on your system memory?

0

I've seen firms sell memory kits w/ and w/out heat spreaders. Do I need them if I do NOT plan to over-clock?

No, you do not need heat spreaders if you do not plan on overclocking. Just keep your case clean and make sure you have proper ventilation and your memory should be fine.

No, your system ram, even when overclocked, rarely needs any sort of heat spreader or cooling aside from a good air flow.

You don't "need " them, but having them will not hurt anything.

You do not need heat spreaders.

If you are an extreme overclocker, you should have them and most do.

I used to dabble in the "dark arts" to the point of soldering stuff on the motherboard to increase voltage. Now I like to "USE" the PC and not "WORK ON IT".

I want to build a countdown clock but cant find any plans for a suitable electronics kit anywhere.?

0

I'm getting into building electronic kits and I'd like to build a coundown timer using red 7 segment digit displays.

Preferably I'd like to use 8 digits in the display so that I can display the time remaining in the coutdown in the following format:

hh:mm:ss:tt

(tt = tenths of a second)

I'm having trouble finding plans for such a kit. Does anyone know of any websites or reference material that would have plans for a kit like this?

I haven't seen one in tenths at all. But here is a good blog with lots of links,, I haven't looked for one there as yet.

But maybe?

http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2007/10/alarm_clockcountdown_time.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890

Good Luck, I'll keep looking.

Honda prelude dash clocks, are they interchangeable?

0

I have the clear screen clocks in my Lude but they are donald ducked! I bought some from a scrappy on the net but they are the black face (non digital only the milage is digital) clock and the plugs are all different.

Can you get conversion kits? If so Where?

no cant do it..when buying stuff for hondas theres always a difference between an english bought honda and one that was imported from japan at some stage.. basically the english ones have less electrics which could explain why one set of clocks is digital and the other isnt..if your lude has electric windows and mirrors its prob a jap car so you will have to get parts of a jap lude..

How much will this stuff get me at a pawn shop?

0

2 VCR's

Portable DVD Player (With Battery)

Wooden Chess Board

N64 Controller

PS2 Controller

Shoe-Shine Kit

a pair of 5lb weights

Alarm Clock

Small nightstand Clock

Yankee's cap

battery powered lantern

And some of this stuff (The VCR's and DVD player don't really work well, will they check for that)

$2 for each. Pawn shops are notoriously bad for getting value for your stuff.

25 bucks good luck.

theyre definitely not gonna give you money for something that doesnt work, they do check. and i dont know, it sounds like a bunch of junk, why dont you just have a yard sale?

How to test the electricity in my car?

0

because the clock in my car has stopped working, i pulled the clock out and I have a 3pc. auto electrical tester kit without any instruction. Help please.

Cars operate on Direct Current aka DC. The tester should have a setting to test voltage on a DC circuit. The symbol should be something like V= (the Alternating current AC symbol has a wavey line in it) Take one of the leads to whatever you're testing and the other to a ground- the frame, a screw, anything metal usually works. Read your meter and you should be around 12 volts, 12.15 or 12.25 are not uncommon.

If you don't know how to test the voltage, check the fuse, it will be marked on the fuse block or look in your manual.

If you do use the meter, put the Black probe to ground and the Red to your hot wire, set your meter to 20 v (volts) most are marked 20 - 200 - 1000 (on the DC scale)

Also its not impossible to see 13.5 to 15 volts in your battery.

(at fully charged)

Hopefully your tool kit will include a 12 volt test light.

The alligator end of "the test light should be connected to chassis ground. This can be the negative battery terminal, or any solid, non-painted, metal nut or bolt in the vehicle. When the pointed end or probe of the test light touches +12 volts, the bulb will illuminate."

http://www.autoelectric.ru/autoalarm/audiovox/tsp-550/tsp-550-8.gif

I don't know what a 3pc. tester is. Get a cheap 12 volt tester and put the aligator clip on grounded part of the dashboard and test the leads to see if you have a hot lead and a good ground to the clock. It's probably the clock.

Your question needs to be clarified.

Build a clock from scratch?

0

I want to build a clock movement and all from scratch. Mostly from a kit in reality, but I want to put all the gears together and if it is one with a case, I want to build that too. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

specialty woodworking stores oft sell clock hands, numbers and mechanisms for woodworkers to build custom clocks

What's a digital wall clock?

0

I see kits for like $80 and diy ones which have parts that cost well over $80 but what is it? I can buy a good digital alarm clock for like $7 but why would it cost me that much to make one myself with parts?

The answer is the quantity. If you are making 50,000 clocks you get a fantastic deal on them. If you are just making 100 kits you don't get the bulk savings.

How many of you have ever owned a Kit-Cat Clock?

0

These clocks have been around since the mid 1930s and are still being made today. Here is the history of them:

http://www.kit-cat.com/clocks.htm

I've never had one, but I told my husband that's all I want for Christmas this year. I want to hang it in my newly remodeled cat-themed kitchen.

My grandma had one it hung in the family camp for yrs, then one day it was stolen.

I love them too, now that I know you can still get them I just might try for one.

Yes, and my son still has his.

NOT ME, NO WAY, NO HOW..

My Grandmother had one of these hanging in an upstairs beroom...it was CREEPY....

as a child it scared the life out of me...

and I NEVER went in that Bedroom because of that clock!!!

(I still don't think

I would EVER get one now!) lol

I've never owned one but see them in estabishments often. If I ever change my kitchen decor [currently french country] I just may buy one, as I'm kitty-owned! lol

my aunt had one of he prettiest ones i ever seen.it had rhinestones on it and ruby eyes.i never saw one like that again that was so fancy.

I had one years ago but it stopped working. It was really cute and when my grandkids were little they loved it.

I've seen them, but I've never had one. I love cats and the clocks are so cute. I'd like to have one too, thanks for the link.

Oh that would really look cute, with your other cat accents al-

right. I always wanted one too. And never bought one, nor

given one. Come to think of it, I have never put it on any Xmas

list. Well now I don't have room for one, so my stove and

microwave clocks just have to do me. I was always so fascin-

ated with the eyes that would move back and force to the

movement of the tail below. I guess I'd still enjoy watching

one move, if I ran across one.

I collect the crap out of those things! I love em!

If a household didn't have one, usually the neighborhood store did. I remember going to get penny candy and watching the clock.

That sounds so cute! I've seen them but never had one. Maybe I'll get one too!

We still have one-black and white- but it doesn't work anymore.

My grandma had one in her kitchen for many years. :)

How far can i over clock?

0

Hey guys, just as the title says, how far can i over clock my Q6600 on these specs

ASUS P5Q-pro (mother board)

Zalman 9700LED (CPU FAN)

Q6600 (CPU)

4GB Kit(2x2G)DDR2 1066 Kingston (RAM)

i just want to over clock using air cooling

if you suggest anymore or better parts please tell me.

thanks guys !

You need an excellent heatsink, you can OC it as much as your motherboard can hold it. You will have to try every clcok speed until your OS stops crashing. You will have an overheating problem if you only use air cooling, i would suggest getting a sick heatsink like the V8, i have it on my quad exterme and i OCed it to 4.2, it runs cool at 43C on max load.

Iodine clock reaction good for 4th grade science fair?

0

I've seen kits offered on the internet, and I would supervise the lad so he knew what he was doing, but I mentioned the clock reaction to him when he was pondering a science project for this Spring. I don't think the chemicals used are dangerous enough to warrant more than eye protection and gloves, but is it too much for a 9 year old, or will his classmates be oohed and aahed? Thanks.

There should be an age recommendation on the box. Check it out. Even if it is recommended for a slightly older child, he could still do it with adult supervision. An alternative may be one of those potato clock kits I have seen in stores.

Does anyone know were i can get a mechanical movement kit for clocks?

0

I collect clocks. I currently have 44 and i want my 50th clock to be made be me. Im having a problem though finding a mechanical movement kit. If anyone could tell me were i could get one that would be great

Michaels or Craft Stores have them here where I live

Generally, the movements in craft stores are quartz or electric, not mechanical. There are lot of on-line sites for mechanical movements (see the link below). If you can locate a clock or watch-repair shop in your area, you may also be able to locate a local source or at least recommendations.Don't know how much time you can devote, but if you want to consider 'extreme clockmaking', here's a site which will sell you plans to make your own clock, gears and all, out of wood.

Good luck.

Double check the model numbers you listed JDP360W1AD and it's not listed. The clock you have fits a JDP36BW1AD.

.Go to GE on the Internet and look for the stove by model number, and the kit by its part number. The info will be there. If not, there will be customer service access instructionsl

How do you make a clock?

0

It has to be handmade, meaning no clock kits or anything. It is due tomorrow (so something relatively easy), she gave us no instructions except it had to be as precise as possible to timing one minute, also to be orignial (although this isnt mandatory, it gives you lots of extra credit points). So if anyone has any ideas besides sand or water drippings, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get some birthday cake candles. Light one and time a one minute burn. Make a mark on a fresh candle to complete the assignment

Does the weight of the pendulum on a clock affect performance?

0

I want to buy a clock kit, but use a small bike gear for the pendulum (it's going to be a bike-themed clock for my bike crazy husband). I expect that the gear will be heavier than the piece that comes with the clock, so I'm wondering if that will cause the clock to be inaccurate or the little motor to fail.

Changing the mass of the pendulum weight will have two effects.

First, assuming that the motor works harder to pump the larger mass (that is, the pendulum's amplitude of oscillation remains as large as it was designed to be), the higher momentum of the pendulum will mean that friction in the pivot will probably have a smaller effect on the motion, so the clock may run marginally faster, but probably not enough to be noticed.

The second effect is that the pendulum is not an idealized mass at the end of a massless rod, the rod itself has mass, and by making the weight on the mass larger you are moving the centre of mass downward, effectively lengthening the pendulum. This will cause the clock to run more slowly unless you adjust the weight accordingly by moving it higher up the pendulum rod.

Really, you're asking if the motor will fail, and if the clock will keep time. Whether or not the motor fails is a function of the design of the clock. It is possible that the motor is not sufficiently powerful to pump a heavier pendulum. If that's the case, the pendulum will run down and the clock will stop. I don't think this is very likely, but it is possible.

As for keeping proper time, you will have to adjust the weight by moving it up the rod, but all pendulum clocks are designed to allow such an adjustment, and it is a simple matter to adjust the pendulum. First, run the clock for exactly one day with the pendulum in a certain marked position. Measure the number of seconds which the clock loses or gains in that one day. Repeat the experiment with the pendulum in a second marked position. To a very good approximation, the speed of the clock is a linear function of the height of that weight along the pendulum, so you can easily interpolate/extrapolate the position of the weight which will run the clock with very good accuracy. Note that if the gear is 10 times as heavy as the weight supplied by the manufacturer, that does *not* mean that you will have to move the weight up to 1/10 of the former length, you are only adjusting for the shift in the centre of mass of the weight+rod system, and as the weight becomes very large the rod becomes unimportant. If the rod were truly massless, then changing the weight would have no effect on the period of the clock, and you would not have to move the weight at all.

Yes, it will have a huge effect and will require modification of the pendulum arm. The pendulum stays in motion via the stored energy of a spring or set of weights. If you change the weight of the pendulum without changing the force that keeps it in motion, it won't keep time. All pendulums are adjustable, they have to be, but it's a very small range of adjustment meant to fine tune the motion. Of course, if it's a kit, he can do whatever he wants, and try-and-error will reveal the correct pendulum length.

You may want to consider changing the weight of the bike gear. Holes can be drilled part way through the backside to make it lighter.

The escapement in a pendulum governed clock releases spring pressure to the pendulum drive. Each time the escapement of a clock clicks one tooth it imparts a small amount of spring pressure to overcome the friction of the pendulum bearings and the pendulums wind resistance. All pendulum clocks run faster freshly wound and slow down as the spring pressure diminishes toward the end of a winding. This is usually only a few seconds a day and can be corrected for over the time that the winding lasts by adjusting the length of the pendulum.

Increasing the weight too much can cause extra friction so that the spring tension released by the escapement may not be enough to sustain the pendulums swing.

If you keep the weight close to the original weight of the pendulum you should still be able to adjust the overall clock accuracy with the length of the pendulum. Just provide a means of moving the sprocket up and down for adjustment and keep the wind resistance to a minimum by reducing the frontal area of the sprocket and its mounting.

THe weight will effect the timing .

No. It should not. But the leangth is very important. So you have to keep the distance from the CG to the center of oscillation should be the same

Where can i find a simple clock kit?

I'm interested in horology and would like a "beginners first" clock making kit. Its really hard to find one in the UK that doesn't cost an arm and a leg...any thoughts?

if you mean actually puting the mechanism together i don't know but if you mean fitting the whole thing together & making the face 'home bargains' had some for less than £10 or you could get a really cheap clock from tesco (about £2) and take the mechanism off then be creative with making the face (you could also do this and try puting it back together if that was what you were after - it's cheap!!!) x

I had one with a plastic case and brass movement I just gave away...

Was one of the creative playthings kits from the late 1960's

Edmund Scientific has one with brightly colored plastic gears, but i think that isn't really what you are after...

You can also order the plans for a wooden gear clock and fabricate it completely yourself.

(I wouldn't have the patience)

Check your local hobby shops, Hobby Lobby is a large retailer in the midwest, or your local clock shops may have a simple a clock kit. Good luck and Goddess Bless.

hobby craft, they might have one.

why don't u google clock making. i'll bet it turns up some interesting sites

Maplins ??

Hobby Craft or an online retailer would be the best. also if you know a bit about it then buy a cheap clock and try taking it apart and putting it back together to get yourself acquainted to the functions of each part.

I'd like to find something that won't be too easy or too complicated. Something that might take from 1 hour to several hours of assembly time. She has an interest in putting together and taking apart mechanical objects.

Try an outfit called "Klockit" they have a website. (sorry, I don't know the website offhand) Many kits from putting a clock into a hole in wood or whatever to Grandfather clocks costing $1000's

Michaels,Joann fabric...and even ebay

Michael's Craft Store should have them.
