How do you make a clock?

It has to be handmade, meaning no clock kits or anything. It is due tomorrow (so something relatively easy), she gave us no instructions except it had to be as precise as possible to timing one minute, also to be orignial (although this isnt mandatory, it gives you lots of extra credit points). So if anyone has any ideas besides sand or water drippings, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Get some birthday cake candles. Light one and time a one minute burn. Make a mark on a fresh candle to complete the assignment
