Do you need heat spreaders on your system memory?

I've seen firms sell memory kits w/ and w/out heat spreaders. Do I need them if I do NOT plan to over-clock?
No, you do not need heat spreaders if you do not plan on overclocking. Just keep your case clean and make sure you have proper ventilation and your memory should be fine.
No, your system ram, even when overclocked, rarely needs any sort of heat spreader or cooling aside from a good air flow.

I used to dabble in the "dark arts" to the point of soldering stuff on the motherboard to increase voltage. Now I like to "USE" the PC and not "WORK ON IT".
