I need advice on stuff to bring. Here is what I've got so far.

1 pair of running shoes

1 pair of court shoes

laundry bag

bath and hand towels (white)

Uniform shoes

Alarm clock and watch

athletic supporter

ball point pen and pencil

sewing kit

shoe polish

shoe shining equipment

toilet articles

top coat

Physical training clothing

Any advice on anything would help. What type of shoes, shoe polish, ect.... and any advice on anything else I should bring it any. Hopefully from someone who has been through the academy or is closely related to someone who has. Thanks!

A lint roller and a small pair of scissors or nail clippers to clip of little renegade strings on your uniform. These will come in handy during inspections. Get a little cheater vehicle code and penal code from the uniform store because I'm sure a D.I. will ask you some codes while you're standing in formation.

OK, joke out of the way first, Don't you want to be a real cop, Like a Sheriff?

Bring some diaper rash ointment, helps with sweat rashes from all of the running, band aids for blisters. Inspection shoes, plenty of razors, shave head short now. Lots of pens and pencils, mechanical pencil is the best. Spanish cheat sheet.

Most of all bring humility when you go in. You know nothing and agree with everything they say, at least until you hit the street, off probation and on your own.
