Can you get a ticket the next day if they didnt catch you yesterday?

My question is if he sees my tomarrow, can he write me a ticket? He never clocked my though, just that i was going faster then the other cars and that i weeved into traiffc, ...I cant sleep now cause im worried if i drive it and he sees me, he'll pull me over...but this was all at night. I drivea very noticalbe car, unmistakenable body kit...with a dual muffler rear end...and unqiue painted tailights...can he write me a ticket or do i need to be caught in the act, techinaly i was so far ahead of him i realy never saw him, so i didnt illude him right? I never saw his lights.
Yes, he can give you a ticket. There is no requirement that the ticket has to be written within a certain period of time after the offense occurred. If he is able to recognize YOU as the driver of the vehicle, and he finds you, he can issue you a citation.
There may be a question about whether he can pull you over at a later date if you are not violating the law at the time (it would depend on your individual state's law), but he could certainly walk up to your front door, knock and say "here's your ticket, have a nice day".
But I agree with some of the other posters . . . slow down, especially in town. I'm pretty sure somebody would be upset if you ran down a child in your attempt to get out of a ticket.
In answer to your question - first I have a question myself:
If you are so afraid of getting a ticket, why are you speeding?
Or is it that you are worried he will try to ticket you for "evading"?
I am not sure what your local area laws, codes are, but if he was not almost directly behind you, I do not think he will do anything now. You see the 'intent to evade" has to be there.
As far as 'he never clocked me' - he doesn't have to. All he has to know is that you were going faster than the posted speed limit. Believe me, a cops judgement of how fast a car was going usually holds up in court. AND you probably attracted his attention by 'weaving'.
These policemen see alot of younger people and others killed because they were speeding.
Although he may, if he sees you again, pull you over to give you a 'warning'.
Good luck, and do not speed. It can be dangerous and it can also be expensive.
He probably can't give you a ticket. But you should be more careful you can get in an accident or kill someone because of your reckless driving.
P.S. I hope your old enough to be driving because by you spelling errors it seems to me that you are not too bright to be behind the wheel
He may try to intimidate you by issuing a citation, his main problem in court is he did not reasonably identify the driver at the time he observed the violation. If he attempts to cite you the next day after the fact, do not answer ANY questions, say NOTHING (as is your right). Plead not guilty, go to court, NEVER admit being in the vehicle at that tim ... and move that the judge dismiss the charge for lack of evidence. You will win.
You did see him and you ran away. That is illegal in all states. In California I would cite you for CVC.22411 and then I would take your dual exhaust moped away.
No, he cannot. However, if yu ever drive down my street like that you will find yurself with a numbered ticket in your hand, waiting your turn for attention at the local hospital.
You won't be driving for a while either, as a whole neighbourhood well kicked ar se, every one has a kick, rarely sits down for a long time.
If he wasn't close enough to get your plate #, there is no way he can prove it was you.
Don't worry about it.
I was in a similar situation once, had 3 city cops and 2 state patrol after me, doing 115+ in town. I hid in an alley until they went by, drove home and didn't drive again for two weeks.
Turns out they thought it was someone else altogether. Two weeks of panic for nothing.
no he can't give you a ticket for yesterday, if there is no pictures or video tapes of you speeding, but what he can do is make your life miserable. If he didn't try to pull you over than you didn't elude him, if he put on his lights and you ran away than he probably has you plate numbers, and there is most likely a warrent out for your arrest....Good Luck
Yes..sorry..it happened to me...I stupidly did something on Thursday, and got the ticket at my house on Friday, however, it was dropped ( I had Pointts take care of it) and I'm assuming that is why. The ticket itself was dated friday, but I know that it didn't happen that way...so you might get the ticket, but you'll mostl likely have cause to fight it! Good luck!
